Go All the Way/The Raspberries

Is there any fruit more sublime than the raspberry? An exceptionally succulent mango comes close, but doesn’t surpass. Raspberries are one of the premier pleasures of summer. But like many pleasures, they’re ephemeral: after a couple of days they become soggy and moldy. Instant gratification is called for. In honour of raspberries--and not delaying gratification in one of life’s other pleasures--I post this song.

I heard this song in a commercial recently. I can't remember what they were selling.

Yes, nothing quite as summery as raspberries.

Helen, I just ate the last of my rasperries yesterday. What a perfectly timed post for me. Blackberries are wild here so last year I planted three rasperries with the hopes of them really taking off. So far so good. The blackberies are not yet ready, but soon I'll be making cobbler.

Eric Carmen's hair-do looks a lot like mine before I brush it in the morning.
