Oh Canada

Oh Canada. We want the US to say that using the same tone and intonation that the Bond girls would use with James. But the passion has long gone out of this relationship. Maybe it’s because we’re stuck in a perpetual missionary position (and guess who’s always on top?).

It's kind of weird to post the first comment on one's blog, but I wanted to point out that I'm not American-bashing...

I thought about blogging this back when I was talking about The Logical Song. Then I thought I better leave it to a Canadian. Glad to see it here.

Oh, oh Canada.

Don't laugh (okay, laugh), but I always thought the "Oh Canada" in Oh Canada must sound like those those four notes Joni Mitchell sings in A Case of You. I listened to the Quebec version you posted, but then went looking for something a little more traditional. I figured what could be more authentic than something from Oilers fans?

I love this anthem. It blows "TSSB" out of the water. I wish it was ours...

And Susan, watching the Oilers fan sing the anthem last year was one of the coolest things I've ever seen/heard.
